Our apps
Explore cultures. Understand people. Connect the world.
Last updated: 14 August 2026
Worldwise is a travel and culture app for iPhone and Android, built and published by SOFTNIVERSE. You get to know a country the way a traveller does: its traditions, its food, its history, its language and the things it is proud of. Everything happens on your own device.
Thirty six countries, each with a painted portrait and questions written and checked by hand. You explore a country theme by theme and earn its badge as you come to know it.
Airmiles are earned by exploring and open new themes and new countries. They are points inside the app: they have no monetary value, cannot be bought and never leave your device.
Travel memories are yours to keep. Add the dates you were somewhere, a note and your own photos, and your journey fills in on the map.
Worldwise does not collect your data. Everything you do in the app stays on your own device.
Nothing. Worldwise has no accounts, no sign in and no servers of its own. It does not send your answers, your progress, your photos, your notes or any identifier anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to send them.
There is no analytics provider, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting service in the app. We cannot see how you use it.
The questions you have answered and the badges you have earned, your Airmiles balance and Explorer level, the countries on your list, the countries you have asked us to write next, your travel memories with their dates, notes and photos, and your appearance setting.
All of it lives in the app's own private storage. Deleting the app removes it. You can also erase everything from inside the app with Reset progress, under Settings.
Worldwise asks for access to your photos or your camera only at the moment you add a photo to a travel memory, and only if you choose to. A photo you pick is copied into the app's private storage so it keeps working after you tidy your camera roll.
Photos are never uploaded, never shared and never read for location data. You can refuse or withdraw this access at any time in your device settings, and the rest of the app carries on working.
Worldwise is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Opening a link from Worldwise, such as this page, hands over to your browser. Your browser and your network provider see that request, as they would with any web page. Worldwise itself learns nothing from it.
A future version may offer an optional account so your progress can follow you between devices, and a subscription bought through Apple or Google. Neither exists today.
If either arrives, this page is updated before that version is released, and anything that involves sending your data anywhere will be something you switch on yourself.
These are the terms you are travelling under when you use Worldwise.
Worldwise is yours to use for as long as you keep it installed. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the app, its questions or its artwork.
The travel memories you write and the photos you add are yours. They stay on your device and we never see them, so we claim no rights over them and we cannot recover them for you if you lose your device or delete the app.
Worldwise is written with care and checked against sources, but it is a way of getting to know a culture rather than a reference work. Facts change, and the world is bigger than any question can hold. Do not rely on it for travel, legal, medical or financial decisions.
If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it in the next update.
Airmiles are points inside the app. They are earned by exploring, they have no monetary value, they cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, and they exist only on your device. Resetting your progress removes them.
If Worldwise offers a paid subscription, it is sold and billed by Apple or by Google, not by us. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you manage or cancel it in your own store account settings rather than in the app. A one off purchase does not renew, and refunds are handled by the store under its own policy.
What a subscription unlocks is described on the purchase screen at the moment you buy it. We may change what future plans include, never what you have already paid for.
Worldwise is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be free of faults or available without interruption, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
Write to us and a person will answer.
Worldwise keeps everything on your device and has no account behind it, so progress does not move between phones and cannot be restored by us. Deleting the app deletes it. If it vanished while the app stayed installed, write to us with your device and app version and we will look into it.
Tell us the country, the theme and roughly which question. We check it against the sources and corrections go out in the next update.
A plane returns on its own schedule while the app is closed, so you do not have to keep it open. Tap the planes at the top of the screen and the hangar tells you exactly when the next one lands.
Add it to your wishlist in your profile. We write countries one at a time and the wishlist decides the order.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancelling and refunds are handled in your own store account rather than by us. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store, Payments and subscriptions.
Profile, Settings, Reset progress. It erases every answer, badge, memory and photo the app holds on your device, and it cannot be undone.
